Gared, s.r.o. manufactures a wide range of soft armour and soft vests in compliance with the national standards, which are certified in the individual different countries.
This standard is the internationally recognised norm for the testing and classification of protective vests. It is characterized by six levels of durability, four for soft vests and two for vests with additional hard panels. The standard permits a maximal trauma effect of 44 mm without restrictions for concealed or outer vests. The volume of indentation in a plasticine block has not been defined.

This is the most recent standard governing the classification and testing of not only ballistic protective gear and is also the most stringent international standard as regards the ability to comply with the required parameters. This standard permits maximal trauma effect of 25 mm, regardless of whether the vest is concealed or worn on the outside. Another parameter required is that the maximum indentation volume must not exceed 8 ml. This volume corresponds to a maximal trauma depth of less than 2 mm.
